How to Apply
Welcome to Wymondham College, we are delighted that you’re interested in our school.
Each year, we welcome Day and Boarding pupils from ages 4 – 18, with over 500 boarders age 9-18 from across the country and the world.
Prep and Senior School Day Applications
As we are a state school, day applications from ages 4-16 are managed through Norfolk County Council. Please see our Admissions Policy for more info.
For Year 7 Music Priority Day Places, please find out more here. Applications must be submitted by 31 October, 2025.
Sixth Form Day Applications
We manage Day applications for Sixth Form. Please follow the instructions below and submit your application by 30 November, 2025.
To apply, initially please set up your parent account via our Admissions Portal, followed by a profile for your child indicating year group, year of entry, type of place required, etc. Once you have completed this, please ensure you then complete and submit the application form to us. You will find the link under “Manage your Programmes” on your Portal Dashboard by selecting your child’s name and then “Finish Application”.
Boarding Applications
At the College, we manage all boarding applications and our simple application process is detailed below. In the case of Sixth Form, we manage both Day and Boarding applications through the College.
How to apply
Whilst most applications are made by 30th November the year before entry, we can accept boarding applications throughout the academic year.
Important deadlines for the diary are:
For Year 12 Scholarships, please apply by 31st October 2025.
For Year 12 Day and Boarding places, please apply by 30th November 2025.
Step 1 - Register your interest
If you think Wymondham College could be a good fit for your family, please complete our enquiries form and a member of our Admissions team will be in touch.
Step 2 – Visit Us
To get a true feeling of the college, we recommend attending one of our Open events. We have Open Mornings, Boarder Taster Evenings and Online events.
Step 3 – Application
When you’re ready, please apply here. Once submitted, we’ll begin the process by obtaining a reference from your child’s current / previous school.

Step 4 – Interview
We’ll invite your child for a boarding suitability interview, which can be conducted virtually or in person. This is not an academic assessment.
Step 5 – Offer
Providing the interview is successful, we will offer your child a place. Your place will be secured upon receipt of the signed Enrolment Form and payment of a deposit.

In-Year Applications
Boarding applications are accepted throughout the year. Whilst day applications can be submitted throughout the year, Day spaces are rarely available. To make an application for an In-year transfer, please complete the application form here.
