A few issues to update you on this week:

  1. For boarding parents – I hope that you will have received, by email, the letter from Peter Rout (Chair of the Trust), Jonathan Taylor (CEO) and myself that updates you on our position regarding fees for this term.  If you have not received this there is a copy on the letters page at the website.

  1. Rumours are rife in the press as to when schools may reopen.  Whilst we have begun to plan for this it is important that we await advice and a concrete date from HM Government.  Once it is confirmed, at the core of our planning will be the safety of all in our community.

  1.  A reminder that our uniform supplier, Birds of Dereham (birdsofdereham.com) are open for online orders and click and collect.  I would also remind you that some months ago Mr McMorran communicated with you via the Lion Newsletter of a slight change in our uniform policy for 2020.  This relates specifically to the type of trousers that are acceptable.  Further information can be found at our website (Main School     Uniform)

  1. Tomorrow is VE day.  At 15:00 on 8 May 75 years ago, Winston Churchill announced to the Nation that Nazi Germany had unconditionally surrendered following six years of hardship and sacrifice and the loss of life across all combatant nations and is indeed worthy of reflection.

Stay safe

With best wishes, I hope you enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend
