Senior Leadership Team

“Philip trained as a teacher as a Post Graduate but chose a career as a Commissioned  Army officer, graduating from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1981. He pursued an operationally focussed career for 32 years which involved serving in Northern Ireland, NW Europe, Northern Norway, Middle East, Far East and East Africa. Philip served multiple tours during the conflicts in the Balkans and was awarded an Operational OBE for service during the Kosovo War. Whilst on a long secondment to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, he served as a Diplomat in British Embassies in the Western Balkans. On leaving the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel, Philip served as a Security Advisor to the Oil Industry in Somalia, Ethiopia and Kurdistan. Following the birth of Philip & Elda’s second child he served an equally challenging duty as a Y5 teacher in a Primary school in Suffolk covering 4 terms of a colleagues’ maternity leave.

Philip’s wife Elda works from home as well as studying Accountancy part time. They have two young children (7 & 4) and two exasperatingly energetic dogs who are constantly in trouble!”
