Wymondham College Principal, Melvyn Roffe is a member of the Advisory Board of the Malek Academy which has been built by the Derek Chappell Foundation near Bor in Southern Sudan.
The school will is a co-educational non-denominational boarding school and plays a vital role in improving the educational opportunities and prosperity of the region.
The Academy is developing and expanding and sixty five students have now enrolled. The first phase of building work is complete and a new computer lab will be constructed as first part of phase two.
Mr Walter Boyle, Deputy Principal Designate of Wymondham College will be visiting to train the staff about child protection issues in october.
