Having read and studied 'Once' in English lessons, pupils were keen to meet the man behind the fantastic stories that follow the tribulations of Felix, a young Jewish boy on a quest to find his parents and flee the tyranny of Nazi-occupied Poland. Pupils enjoyed listening to the inspiration behind the stories, asking questions about their favourite Gleitzman characters and having their books signed.
