"Auf dem Kampingplatz"
On Wednesday, 3rd February all German linguists at the College were able to enjoy a very entertaining afternoon production by the ONATTI THEATRE COMPANY. The setting for “Auf dem Campingplatz” is a quiet and peaceful German campsite, which gets a rude awakening when two teenage friends, Jürgen and Sonja, arrive for a weekend camping trip. Although many in the audience arrived in the Chapel a little apprehensive about their ability to follow the story, the two actors made sure that everyone understood just what a lifeline a bag of crisps can be in extreme situations and how the search for mobile phone reception can lead you to awkward places. Thank you to everyone who supported the event – Year 7 up to Year 13 students as well as matrons, parents and staff families.
A big thank you goes to Mr Bales for providing us all with a delicious batch of doughnuts. Jacob Lowe (Year 8) was the lucky person to end up with mustard in his doughnut – a German “Karneval” tradition. “Helau” and Alaaf”!
