Real Design with Design Focus

The sixth form have been working with Alistari Kingsland from Design Focus, Kingsland looking at real design concepts and problems.

Students have been working with products and analysing why they are iconic, how they are fit for purpose and why they have been designed and manufactured in that particular way.

Alastair is a design consultant and is currently working with design and manufacturing companies in East Anglia. This insight is giving our students outstanding experiences that they can use in their studies and for further information.

The images show students testing everyday products with reduced movement simulated by coins taped to finger joints, weights strapped onto their arms and reducing their view by putting on goggles with stickers on them.

The project is running from October to February.
