Technology is an exciting department which aims to provide opportunity and insight for all our students. Working within our Technology College specialism we are fortunate to be in a well resourced area, offering Food Technology, Graphics, Resistant Materials, Systems and Control and Manufacturing at Key Stage Three. GCSE options include Food Technology, Graphics, Resistant Materials and Double Awarded GCSE in Manufacturing. At A-Level we offer Product Design.As well as this we are fortunate enough to work with many different companies from Industry. This reinforces the learning that our students get and ensures we are up to date with changes in Technology.A Year In Our DepartmentAs well as our timetabled lessons there are lots of other activities that we take part. Engineering Community Project
Lead by our Arkwright Scholarship students, the Technology College Engineering Community Project this year is wicket covers.
Recipe Book
The students are publishing a recipe book on behalf of the school.
ICT student conference Norwich
We are constantly trying to get our Technology College students to appreciate how what we are doing at school is relevant to what is happening in industry. Sixth form students had the opportunity to see this in action in November.
Masterclasses
As part of our work with local primary schools the Technology College subject - Maths, Science ICT and Technology, have been working with year 5 and 6 students on a Saturday morning.

New Designers Exhibition Trip
Each year we take our students to the New Designers Exhibition in London.
Summer Exhibition
At the end of the year we have an exhibition of work in school marquee on site.
New Zealand International Award
As part of the International Award year 9 completed an a Car challenge with Wanganui Collegiate School in New Zealand.
Links with Hethel Engineering
Our year 12 students have been up to Hethel learning about Solidworks, they have also been competing in robot competitions.
