In recognition of our collaborative work with international partner schools and the rich variety of international curriculum projects that we undertake, Wymondham College was awarded the International Schools Award by the British Council and DCSF in August 2008. The Award will be presented at a ceremony to be held in London in October.
The international work and visits contained within our portfolio is too extensive to detail here but our main Action Plan focused on the following activities to embed a global dimension in our curriculum work:
Year 7 Multicultural Day Geography link with South African School Science Global Diet project The Indonesian Gamelan percussion orchestra Global Communication with Australian School Exchange and joint project work with Prague School International Technology project with New Zealand School African Mask Project
