Every June, the Music Department hosts a Music Open Day where all students learning an instrument at the college have a chance to perform.
Three concerts are performed simultaneously and performers range from beginners to Grade 8 and above musicians. School ensembles can be heard in the Music Hall throughout the morning.
This year, not only did the students perform at the Music Centre but the Jazz Band also performed for almost an hour at the new Lincoln building in the Piazza. Around 9 hours of music was heard, from around 300 musicians and singers and 10 ensembles. This event is a chance for musicians of all standards to be able to play in front of a real audience.
