Annual Service of Nine Lessons and Carols
For the past four years, Wymondham College has arranged a whole school carol service. For the first time, in December 2009, the service was held at Hingham church instead of the College Sports Hall. This was a big undertaking as it involved all our boarders, some 60 musicians from the Concert Band, 30 singers from the College Choir.
The event was repeated in December 2010 and was a resounding success with nine lessons and carols including the congregational carols and a beautiful rendition of ‘O Holy Night’, including solos from Emily Stanghan (Year 10) and Alisha Hart (Year 12). There were also vocal solos from Harry Evans (Year 11) and Lauren Peck (Year 11). The first verse of Once in Royal David’s City was sung by Owen Jack (Year 8).
