After a twelve-hour coach journey we were greeted by warm sunshine when we arrived at our youth hostel in Bonn.
Over the next couple of days we visited Rheinfels Castle with its maze of dark and wet defense tunnels, went on a river cruise, and visited the cities of Cologne and Bonn. On the second day we explored the rides in Phantasialand, which is a huge theme park equivalent to Disneyland.
For many of us climbing the 509 steps to the top of Cologne Cathedral was a breathtaking experience. This trip truly was amazing and I would definitely recommend it to you! (Bethany Scott, Year 7)
