On March 17th twenty Year 9 Gifted and Talented students participated in the BBC Schools News Report.
The day involved an early morning start to peruse the newspapers and choose newsworthy stories. Mr Edwards was on hand to provide advice and assistance to all of the students. With stories decided, it was then the job of the students to go out into Attleborough to record their footage. Many unsuspecting locals were "seized" and provided their opinions on the stories of the day.
With plenty of footage in the bank the roving reporters returned to the classroom to write up and record their findings; with strict deadlines imposed! By 13.00 the majority of the items were finished and editing became the next hurdle. The students all got stuck in and helped one another to ensure that the report was completed. By 16.00 the news broadcast edited, the podcast was polished and the newspaper reports were finalised. The day was an enormous success and the finished product was a professional news report to be proud of.
