Friday 3rd of July saw the third annual, and most successful yet, Year 7 Mathematics Day.
This time we had 12 groups rotating around 6 different hands-on, puzzle type activities including foam tangrams, constructing polyhedra, strategy based ICT games, balancing penguins on icebergs and other great puzzles!
All pupils felt challenged, rewarded by the success of completing the many puzzles and enjoyed the day very much. One pupil commented “It was just so nice to do something a little bit different in Mathematics, it made me realize what a fascinating subject it can be!”.
We’re already looking forward to and planning ideas for next years event, watch this space...
