This is a full time post working 37 1/2 hours per week on a shift rota including weekends. The post is initially for a fixed term of 12 months.
A vacancy exists for a Kitchen Assistant Apprentice who will whilst training support the work of the College's Catering Department.
The person appointed will need to be:
Willing to undertake a one year Apprenticeship in Catering
Be a flexible and enthusiastic team player
Be flexible and resilient in managing and executing their daily responsibilities
Have a good communication skills in person and in writing
Be discreet, sensitive and committed to providing the best possible service to the staff and students.
Be interested in developing a career in catering within an educational setting.
Core responsibilities will include, preping fruit, vegetables and salads and carry out simple cooking under the direction of the Catering Supervisor, clean use and care of the equipment. Clean the premises (walls, floors, other surfaces) and the preparation and cleaning of the dining area.
