Links with Other Schools

Wymondham College has dual Specialist School status in Technology (incorporating Mathematics, Science, I.C.T. and Technology) and Languages.

We are developing links with schools both locally and nationally to share best practice and to innovate. This involves both staff and pupils in a wide range of curriculum areas.

We are also linked with schools in other countries. Please see the section on International Links for information about these developments.

Norfolk MFL Oral Competition

On 8th July we were delighted to welcome over eighty competitors from 14 Norfolk schools to the annual Modern Foreign Languages Competition which we organise and host as part of our Specialist Language College programme.

Christmas Card Competition

Our Primary Language Christmas Card Competition which was open to all Year 5 and 6 students in local primary schools once again attracted a number of entries.

This week we are hosting ten students and two staff from our partner school in Bad Bederkesa, Northern Germany.

Czech / Spanish Exchanges

As part of our Language College programme, "back to school" had a typically international flavour with us welcoming both Spanish and Czech students and colleagues early on in the new term.

Our Link with China

During the year, many of our students and departments have been working on a joint project with our Chinese partner school in Shanghai along with five other schools in the Wymondham Cluster.
