Boarding Parents Forum

All parents/carers of boarding students are very welcome to attend the Boarding Parents Forum which is held each half term on a Saturday at 11am.

Dates are published in the termly college calendar issued to students.

The next meeting is on 7th February 2009 in Humanities classroom H5.

The aim of this Forum is to give the parents and carers of boarders an opportunity to discuss whole College boarding topics. Since it's inception in September 2006 the members of the Boarding Parents Forum have made valuable contributions such as; the formation of Boarding Aims (to be published in the January 09),College events, the Medical Centre provision, the induction programme for new boarders, boarding rules and routines, the standard of furniture in the dorms, activities at week ends, suitability to board criteria, the value of boarding, catering developments like the "Bistro" evenings and traffic on site.

The forum is also a welcome opportunity to share information, discuss ideas for the future and contact other boarding families.

Our college Boarding Governor Mr Adrian Underwood, our Medical centre Sister Mrs Sue Cousens and our Estates Manager Mr Peck are also normally in attendance.

The minutes of each meeting are available for all parents to access via the FROG parent portal.
