Year 10 Kett Hall Students from Wymondham College recently held a sponsored charity event in the School Refectory to help raise funds for the East Anglia´s Childrens Hospice.
During the lunchtime and evening meals the students donned another type of uniform, that of the kitchen staff. It was definitely service with a smile as they served food to their fellow students and experienced the demands usually placed on their school catering staff on a daily basis.
Head of Catering, Mr Bob Bales was very impressed with the students’ attitude and application: “They came up with this great idea and I was more than happy to support them. Every single one of them worked extremely hard and deserved all the recognition in the world.”
The students were the first group from Wymondham College to trial the new Student Enterprise Scheme and as a result have collected and donated £750 to EACH.
