The College Garden

The first Wymondham College Green Gym took place on Saturday 29th November 2008.

A patch of land next to the water tower was donated to us, which was cleared of its five foot high covering of brambles by Charles Hastings and his minidigger. Then, on a mild but foggy Saturday afternoon, some hardy types wielding forks and spades gathered and spent a tiring two hours tramping around in the mud getting all the roots and stones out, and digging over the soil.

Spring in the College Allotment

We have made a great start to the season in the allotment with beds of onions, shallots, potatoes, peas, broad beans, carrots, parsnips, beetroot, spring onions, radishes, lettuce and carrots already getting going.

Reduce Reuse Recycle!

What do you do when you've run out of raised bed space for your potatoes? Plant them in car tyres of course!

The College Garden

The weather is getting warmer and most of the hard jobs have been done in the garden.
